Ollie is a company coach. His work involves assisting people to make the most of their potential, both personal and professional. During his career he has worked within corporations and also as an independent consultant.
His qualifications include a degree in Transport Economics and extensive qualifications in Total Quality Management.
He has conducted literally hundreds of life skills seminars, embracing the whole gamut of interpersonal skills. He has taught public speaking with a great deal of success. Many of his students have progressed to senior management positions in the career of their choice.
As an independent consultant he worked with such companies as Goodman Fielder, Kelloggs, Hunter Transport Industries, Mobil Oil and Uncle Tobys. The range of skill areas covered ranged from Sales skills, conflict resolution, problem solving and many others. In fact the range of human skills he has taught cover almost every aspect of management and everyday living.
The approach Ollie uses is based on the Socratic approach to life and living. He says there is a major gap in many current training approaches. That gap can be stated quite simply. So many courses give quite valid systems for applying various skills. What is not taught is the underlying understanding of the subject matter and so true ownership of the material is only partially achieved. This can be termed Training Sag, according to Ollie.
Given the effectiveness of the philosophical approach to helping people achieve mastery of skills, knowledge and abilities, Ollie has decided to share his forty years of experience in a more general way.
Hence he is producing and releasing a series of videos that will clearly outline a simple, easy to understand approach to answer the most commonly asked, and vexing question on the planet.
HOW CAN I?
Thus is born the HOWCANI video series that will answer this vital question in such a way that people, as individuals, will rapidly take on new skills.
Ollie says his purpose in life is “To assist people to be better that they believe they can be.”
Sounds like a pretty worthwhile aim to me.
