When I read this quote I felt a sense of loss. I thought back to when I was very young and all those excited plans I made as a child. All those plans I never did anything about. All those dreams I lost because I didn’t do anything but dream.
Have you ever been hot and breathless about some idea, or vision of something you want to be, or do or have? I think we all have.
I do know that, over my lifetime I have learnt that “If only” is the most useless statement you can possibly make. In a way, I suppose, it’s why I created HOWCANI.
HOWCANI exists so that I may share what I have learnt from a lifetime of experience, study and observation with others so that we can all defeat the common enemy, PROCRASTINATION.
The real secret to achieving your goal, any goal is, as the quotation states, to BEGIN,START, TAKE ACTION. I now find I can achieve a great deal in a very short space of time. I simply follow that great NIKE marketing slogan.

Don’t wait until you are fully prepared, when you have ironed out all the possible complications, or when you have removed all possibilities of failure. Don’t wait until conditions are “just right.” If you do you will miss out on the chance to really experience, to battle through uncertainty and win through.

Developing HOWCANI is my adventure. (I am doing other things. I am almost through the fifth draft of a novel, fingers crossed.)
Recently I conducted a live workshop for the Wing Chun Kung Fu academy. It was on our relationship to the universe, if you like, and what happens as we learn. The journey we take from ignorance to knowledge and understanding, thence to wisdom and finally mastery.

Shortly I will be doing a talk on the philosophy of learning and the impact it can have on your life in terms of removing your barriers to success. It will really be worth seeing. I have done live workshops on this subject on many occasions and have decided to record the material. Results are really powerful.
Other subjects we will be looking at shortly include fear, its origins and how to conquer it, conflict resolution, personal and professional and the three secrets of predicting human behaviour. The last subject is particularly exciting as we will strip away all the complexity and stupidity regarding the way people behave and give you strategies for easily dealing with all types of people.
